I tend to look back at my single life as eras of different men. Like there's the "Tom Era," or "When I was such a player" era (Freshman year, ohhhh man, haha), or the "Tyler-Skyler Saga" (Goodness I hope none of those guys are reading this).
To become an era in my life you have a simple test to surpass: the one/two-week wonder syndrome. I would say 95% of men never make it pass the one-week wonder. I call it this because I like somebody for a week or two and by the end of that time period I wonder why the heck I was ever into them.
The last year and a half has been a detrimental drought, a non-stop series of one-to-two week wonders. While the quality of these one-week wonders has been a major upgrade from past ones, I am in an attraction drought. I don't dig anybody.
Remember when the boys were all electric?
I do. And I'm freaking 21. I shouldn't be thinking the fun in it all is gone.
Maybe I just need to lighten up and not take dating so seriously anymore. And maybe a new social scene will be really good for me.
